Handshake Leadership was established in 2012 by Dr. Erik J. Huffman on the principle of "Purpose Over Profit".  He believed an organization should focus on doing what is right at all cost, even if it may cost everything.  We push this vision forward everyday in everything that we do.  This has led us to today's success as the Colorado Springs Business Journal's 2018 Social Impact Company of the Year! We love people, our community, and we are here for you.  From helping Girl Scouts obtain their cybersecurity badges, to hosting cyber safety days at elementary schools, we want to make a positive impact on society just because it is the right thing to do.

In our efforts of organizational development we operate from the "Doctor | Patient" model.  When organizations come to us they tell us the symptoms, we conduct a formal case study, and then we provide the organization with a solution founded on academic research.  This is much different than what other consulting firms provide.

As scholars, practitioners, and educators we support secondary schools in the development of world-class cybersecurity curriculum and providing industry-level training to secondary teachers.  We believe that social impact is transitive.  If we assist educators that teach our future, maybe we can assist a teacher in providing an education that can change the life of a young boy or girl.
